Since 1985, the MULTIBANCO terminal has been an integral part of everyday life in Portugal. Connected to the MULTIBANCO Network, it provides automatic access to a wide range of banking and non-banking services, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Withdrawals

The MULTIBANCO Network allows 24/7 withdrawals of up to €400/day, with debit, credit and currency conversion (DCC) options for more than 30 currencies. It is also possible to withdraw money without a card, using the MB WAY app.

MB WAY / MB NET

Keep your bank with you wherever you go. At MULTIBANCO, sign up for MB WAY and link your mobile number to your bank card to make payments, transfers and cash withdrawals simply, quickly and securely. You can also create MB NET virtual cards for online purchases.

Inquiries

At MULTIBANCO you can quickly access the main queries of your bank account. Check balances on the screen or in a receipt, view the latest movements, retrieve duplicate transactions and confirm your NIB or IBAN whenever you need. It is also possible to check low-value transactions, such as tolls, parks or Via Verde. With MB WAY , you also have immediate access to your movement history directly on your cell phone.

MULTIBANCO Discounts

When paying with a bank card at participating merchants you can benefit from exclusive discounts through Loyalty Programs associated with MULTIBANCO . Simply associate your card with the program in MULTIBANCO itself and start saving whenever you shop.

Transfers and Direct Debits

In MULTIBANCO it is possible to transfer money between national bank accounts using only the NIB/IBAN. If you prefer, you can transfer between accounts linked to the same card. With MB WAY , the process is even faster: all you need is the recipient’s cell phone number and the amount is available instantly, regardless of the bank.

We help answer your questions

The ATM captured my Card after an operation.

If the Card is not returned, you must immediately contact the Issuing Bank and report what happened.
I made a cash withdrawal, and the amount was debited from my account, but the cash was not dispensed.
I made a withdrawal of an amount that was debited from my account, but the terminal did not make the entire amount available.

When the amount delivered is different from that requested, the customer must make a complaint to the Card Issuing Bank, presenting the transaction receipt. If you do not have a proof of receipt, you will have to identify the location, date and (approximate) time of the operation in question.
I forgot to collect the notes corresponding to the survey I just carried out.
